Communication on the First Holy Communion
Dear parents of communion children of 2020.
Each year, the First Holy Communion is a very solemn event in our parish. This celebration is experienced by children, their parents, godparents, siblings, grandparents and grandmothers, and the entire parish.
We were all carefully preparing for this Communion celebration throughout the year, having everything dedicated and prepared, but as we know, the time of the pandemic has come and it thwarted our plans. We must accept it and face it without losing hope, but persistently with God’s help.
We all care very much about the preparation and accession of your children to the First Holy Communion. wynajem ford mustang in this difficult situation that we are currently experiencing and which imposes various limitations on us.
In order to ensure maximum safety for the Children, we should follow the orders of state and church authorities regarding the organization of the First Holy Communion. So let me quote a fragment of the ordinance of the Archbishop of Lodz of March 31, which deals with this very issue (no newer ordinances on this subject have been issued) – please, read it carefully:
Due to the prevailing state of the epidemic, I decide:
The dates of the First Holy Communion in parishes should be postponed until the threat ceases; earlier, it is possible to organize the First Holy Communion for single children in the immediate family. It is up to the Pastor and Parents to assess the child’s preparation for this event;
Thus, in setting the date of First Holy Communion. 2 factors are to be decisive: the cessation of the threat and the individual decision of the parents, as I suppose also the return of the children to school.
From the latest announcements of the Minister of Health, we learn that the state of the epidemic in our country may last even 1.5 years (until the vaccine is invented) and we should prepare for long-term limitations in social life. Recently, these restrictions have been somewhat relaxed and the Children will soon return to school (even in smaller groups). Let us recognize that this would be the right moment for the decision to receive the Children for First Holy Communion. while maintaining all security measures.
Over the past time, I have listened to your various opinions on the possible date of organizing the First Holy Communion. and I can see that they are very different: it is talking about a June date, a holiday date, a September date or a May date next year.
Please take into account also the fact that, according to the latest orders of the state authorities in our church, from Sunday, May 17, 2020. 100 people can stay at once, keep mouth and nose covered, and Holy Communion. we take on hand.
Perhaps such a restriction will be maintained until the state of the epidemic is resolved, and then neither in September, nor even in May next year, it will not be possible to organize the First Holy Communion. in such a large group (about 60 children, their parents, godparents, guests).
At the request and suggestions of some parents:
we are leaving the September deadlines (however, it must be taken into account that these dates are also subject to risk, as there is a threat of a second wave of the corona virus):
- September 20, (Sunday) 11.00 a.m.
- September 27, (Sunday) 11.00 a.m. and at the same time, we offer additional dates and an additional First Communion Mass for smaller groups (15 – 20 children):
- June 11, (Corpus Christi) 2 p.m.
- June 14, (Sunday) 2 p.m.
- June 21 (Sunday) 2 p.m.
- June 28, (Sunday) 2 p.m.
- July 5, (Sunday) 2 p.m.
Confession, which is obligatory for every child, would take place on the day of First Communion at 13.30
You can take advantage of this offer or stay on the September deadline when you decide for yourself that the risk to your children is minimal.
Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and it will be opened for you.
Love is patient love is kind. Love does not envy, it does not applaud, it is not proud; she is not shameless, does not look for her own, is not angry, does not remember what is wrong; he does not rejoice in injustice, but rejoices in the truth. He puts up with everything, believes everything, hopes in everything, endures everything. Love never stops.
